There was a world cup ski jump event in Trondheim (GranĂ¥sen) the other day, so we made a trip out of it! In an effort to avoid crowds, we skied from the tram stop to the ski jump - enjoying warm sunshine on the way.
It turns out to be really difficult to get good photos of ski jumpers in the air...
There was a large and happy crowd - a Norwegian jumper from this area is currently in first place for the season and it was a beautiful day. He didn't win this particular event, but had a really good second jump. New record lengths were set for the jumps, too!
A few photos of the crowd...
The hill in the dark:
... and some fireworks after the event!
