København!

I enjoyed a weekend trip to Copenhagen with CJ. It was a bit of a shock to be in a city, but it's quite a nice place to ride around and visit.

We rented bikes and rode around town a bit on Friday before heading up to Lyngby, where DTU (the Danish technical university) is. There is an extremely pretty Anglican church near the fortress area.

The way back from the campus is along the water and we had a good view of the wind park. It was a windy day and you can just barely see a sailboat, keeled over in the wind.

On Saturday, we made our way by bike out of Greater Copenhagen and to Roskilde, where there is a Viking ship museum.

The wind died down a little bit on Sunday and we had a sunny morning for a boat tour. This area is Nyhavn and is quite a nice area with restaurants along the water. 

 

The views from the water were great, but not that easy to capture from the boat.

We also climbed a church spire, which gives a great view of the city!

 From the spire, you can also see the bridge to Sweden.

Finally, we went to the palace and walked around the gardens for a bit. 

It really is a neat city, and very bike-friendly.
