The way there is up and down, but more up, so the 40 km took a few hours.

Jonsvatnet is the drinking water for Trondheim, and quite a nice area.

The cabin is NTNUI's largest (25 beds) and also has a sauna.
We found a boat, but it was not exactly seaworthy for any long trips...
The canoe worked well, though!
As good stewards, and with our good weather, we not only chopped and split wood, we also built a new stand for sawing the wood.
Splitting wood is hard work!

The lake was still and beautiful on Sunday morning.
On the way home (much faster when you have 200 m of descent overall!).
The fall colors are not quite as spectacular as in Michigan, but when the sun shines, it's quite nice.
