There was a boat tour of the harbor as a part of the conference and we got to see lots of offshore structures. It is certainly an impressive port.

At MARIN, the task for a group of PhD students (and a few interns) was to design and build a platform for a floating wind turbine out of some selected materials... We then tested the platforms in high seas... A few photos and a video are shown. I worked on the "cradle" - the one with 4 legs sticking out at 45 degrees - nice and stable, but a bit heavy!
